What if selling cowarehousing space worked like e-commerce?

Now you can sell co-warehousing space just like a pair of shoes.
Think about it. Customers browse their options, compare sizes, check prices, choose what works for them and pay online. Why should renting a warehouse unit be so different?
We’ve made this possible in Nexudus.
Customers can explore warehouse units, choose their preferred space and move-in date, select a package and complete checkout themselves.
No endless emails about availability. No manually assigning units after the sale. Just a straightforward journey from finding the right space to securing it online.
Take a floor plan to the checkout
In Nexudus your floor plan becomes an interactive catalogue of rentable units, accessible through the Members Portal. Prospective customers can look around your warehouse layout, see which units are available and click on individual spaces to find out more.
Each unit can display size, capacity, photographs, pricing and what’s included. Availability is colour-coded, making it easy to distinguish between units that are available, have limited availability or are already occupied.
Customers can also browse units in a list, filter by availability and switch between floors. The experience works on mobile, too.

Letting customers choose is better for business
Just like your boots, a warehouse unit isn’t a one-size-fits-all product.
One customer might need a compact storage area for stock, while another needs a larger warehouse bay with space to prepare orders. Some might want access to a furnished office or shared workspace facilities alongside their unit.
Nexudus lets you sell individual units with different pricing and packages, so customers can choose the combination that works for them.
You could offer:
- A warehouse unit with storage space only.
- The same unit with an accompanying furnished office.
- A package that includes access to shared workspace facilities or meeting room credits.
Each package can have its own plan, price and inclusions.
You can also use the same default plan across multiple units of the same size, making it easier to manage consistent pricing without creating a separate plan for every warehouse bay.
Rather than discussing every option individually with your sales team, customers can compare what’s available and choose the package they want as part of the online sign-up process.

Availability becomes part of the shopping experience
Imagine finding the perfect product online, only to discover you have to email someone to check whether it’s actually in stock. That’s the kind of friction cowarehousing operators can remove from the rental process.
Nexudus lets customers choose their preferred move-in date and see which warehouse units are available for that date, and availability isn’t limited to a simple yes or no.
If a unit is occupied now but available later, Nexudus shows the next available date and lets the customer adjust their move-in date accordingly.
If a unit is available now but already reserved for the future, it can still be offered for the remaining period, provided there’s enough time for at least one billing cycle.
Customers can see how long they’ll be able to occupy the unit before committing, and their contract reflects that end date.
This gives prospective customers more opportunities to find a space that works for them while helping operators make use of gaps between existing rentals.
And because availability is checked again at checkout, Nexudus helps prevent the same unit from being sold twice.
Keep your warehouse ready for the next customer
Of course, renting warehouse space isn’t quite the same as shipping a pair of shoes.
When one customer moves out, a unit might need cleaning, maintenance or preparation before someone else can move in.
Nexudus accounts for this through its Turnaround setting, which allows you to define how many days a unit needs to remain vacant between contracts.
You can set a standard turnaround period for your location and adjust it for individual units that need more or less preparation time.
These periods are automatically factored into online availability, so customers can only select move-in dates that allow enough time between contracts.
This helps you offer as much rentable space as possible without committing to unrealistic move-in dates or creating extra work for your team.
From choosing a unit to checking out online
Here’s where the e-commerce experience really comes together.
Once a customer has found the right warehouse unit, they don’t need to submit an enquiry and wait for someone to arrange the next steps. They can continue straight to checkout.
Once they’ve chosen their unit and package, they continue through the usual Nexudus sign-up process, adding any extras, completing their account details, accepting terms and paying online.
Any applicable deposits and sign-up fees are included, and Nexudus automatically creates the contract with the correct unit, package and dates assigned.
Your team receives an email with the customer’s details, the selected unit and package, and a link to the contract. There’s no need to manually allocate the space or recreate the agreement after the customer has paid.
And because customers can complete the process online, they can secure warehouse space whether it’s 9am on a Tuesday or 11pm on a Sunday.
Your next warehouse rental is clicks away
Selling cowarehousing space doesn’t have to mean handling every enquiry, checking every date or assigning every unit yourself.
Nexudus lets customers find the space they want and secure it online, while availability, pricing and contracts are handled along the way.
Your warehouse units are ready to rent. Now your customers have an easier way to rent them.
