We’ve made a significant improvement to the Bulk Import process in the Admin Panel. The previous workflow was prone to errors, so several refinements have been introduced to make these processes faster, more reliable, and easier to use.

Bulk Import allows admins to upload large volumes of data at once via the Admin Panel. You can import records across multiple categories, such as Bookings, Customers, Products, and more.

Each category has a downloadable template that can be filled in and uploaded for import.

How to Perform a Bulk Import

  1. Go to Settings > Imports and click Start Import.
  2. Select the relevant category under What would you like to import?.
  3. Download the corresponding template.
  4. Fill in the required information.
    • Ensure the file is saved in .csv UTF-8 format.
    • When uploading, save the file but do not close it.
  5. Upload the completed file.
  6. Review the details and click Import Records.

If the uploaded file contains errors, the import process will be paused, and the system will notify the admin by highlighting the issues. At this point, the admin has the option to either cancel the import or upload a corrected file.

For a detailed breakdown of the errors, the admin can download an error breakdown sheet.

Important Note: The Error Breakdown sheet is for informational purposes only and cannot be used as the import template to re-upload corrected records.

Import Progress & Status

  • Imports run in the background, allowing you to continue with other tasks.
  • Only one import can run at a time.
  • A progress bar shows how much validation and importing has been completed.

As an admin, you can also view up to 10 recent imports done for the space, with statuses including Completed, In Progress, Cancelled and Failed.

  • If an import has some errors but mostly correct details, the import will be completed with the Completed status, and all the errors will be highlighted.
  • A Failed status only appears if the server is unable to proceed with the import.

Bulk imports can also be initiated directly from certain modules. For example:

  • To import Customers, go to Operations > Members & Contacts, click the three-dot menu, and select Import records from CSV.
  • This takes you to the Bulk Import screen with the Customers category and template pre-selected.
  • Similarly, importing Products will automatically load the Products template.
