Freeze Plan Subscriptions is Live in Nexudus

People go on holiday, take maternity or paternity leave and head off on adventures all the time.
Rather than risk members cancelling with you and heading elsewhere on their return, contracts can now be paused in Nexudus.
How Freeze Plan Subscriptions work
This temporary pause means they can return exactly where they left off — without needing to cancel or start over.

What kind of control do I have?
You decide which plans are eligible for freezing, how often members can use the option, and how many billing cycles each freeze can last. You can also disallow freezing for a minimum period, say the first three months of a new membership. We’ve also added prorating rules to make sure all billing stays accurate when freeze plans resume.
While frozen, members can’t make changes to their plan or cancel it. Essentially, once the freeze period ends, the system picks up their plan exactly where it left off with precise billing applied.
If you’ve enabled freezing for a plan, members can freeze plans themselves and choose how long for, according to the limits you’ve set. They can resume at any stage, or let the system reactivate once the freeze period ends.
From your Admin Panel, you can:
- Enable freezing for that plan
- Define how many times a plan can be frozen
- Set the maximum number of billing cycles per freeze
- Add a minimum contract term before freezing is allowed (e.g. Can’t freeze within the first three billing cycles.)
During the freeze:
- Members can’t cancel or modify their plan
- Any non-membership charges (like bookings or posted items) will still be invoiced
- Members are temporarily listed as “churned” in reports, and reclassified as “returned” when they resume
Freezing subscriptions for teams
If you manage team memberships, the team admin can freeze or resume plans on behalf of team members too, all from the Members Portal.
We’ve scaled this up for teams, to give operators and members flexibility on both sides.
